All of the fuel injection components are specified by Bosch, so you bet they're in use elsewhere - at some point during the '80s and '90s nearly every European car had some iteration of Jetronic or Motronic, and that means they've all got some variety of those connectors somewhere. It's fortunate for us, or it's unlikely that you'd even be able to buy them from Saab at this point...
As for di-electric grease, I have no idea what it's long-term effects might be on the rubber boots, but don't be confused about what it does. Di-electric grease is completely non-conductive - it doesn't make for better connections, it makes for worse ones. Di-electric grease is used primarily because it's an oxygen blocker, and helps prevent corrosion. Be very careful with it's application around small, sensitive electrical components, and never use it on something like the O2 sensor...
