Seen them towed and being towed safely are often two different things. C900's max trailer weight is 2,000 lbs with brakes, 1,000 lbs without, per the Bentley manual. Unless you have mini horses, I have to think that two horses and the trailer will be over 2k. I now tow a boat without trailer brakes with an suv. Trailering weight is about 3,500lbs. You really know its there when you try to stop. Even when I towed my small sailboat on a trailer without brakes with my '84 900, I was extra careful to make sure I left plenty of room for stopping. So I would strongly suggest you get trailer brakes. Besides, almost all states require brakes over 3,500, some over 3,000lbs. Actually, if you love Saabs and love your horses, I would suggest you get a 9.7x.
