Just because others do it doesn't mean it's safe. For the sake of your safety, your horses, and the safety of others on the road, I can't recommend you do it. Saab says a C-900 should not tow more than 2000lbs, and I have no reason to doubt that number. I'm sure they had done extensive testing to come up with that number.
