respectfully Kate...this is a recipe for disaster. I towed a 4 wheel trailer with a 1980 900T in England once...going downhill IT took over and it was all I could do to control it and stay out of the ditch. Scariest car moment in 30 years of driving!!! I have a single axle heavy duty utility trailer here in the US...I use a Land Rover to pull it...a C900 is just NOT a stable enough towing platform for a 4 wheel trailer even though it may have overrun brakes. Going downhill loaded at 50 and needing to slow quickly will almost certainly result in a crash and 4 wheel trailers resist steering inputs from the tow vehicle more than a single axle trailer. Just wouldn't go here. You've also seen many an overloaded Subaru?...well...they are heavier than our Saabs and are permanent AWD...I wouldn't do that either...but they would be a less bad choice. Ditto the frying an auto tranny comment also!
