It collects excess fuel vapors so they can be recycled; part of the evaporative emissions control system. It is a small black canister about 4 inches in diameter by 6 inches tall with a valve on top that sits in the very front of the drivers front fender and is difficult to see because its hidden underneath the the APC box and cruise control valve; it's filled with Granular Activated Carbon (GAC).
