So I have a grumble every 3rd rotation? Thanks for the reply. I had done that math as well, coming to similar conclusions (5-6 rps at 25mph). So, I have a "grumble" approximately every 3rd rotation. I assume worn bearings can sort of "bind" in this type of pattern (??)
I have heard I can try to put on a stethoscope and turn the wheel by hand, but I am guessing if I have to pull off the wheel hub to get at the cv joint I might just go for a new wheel bearing at that time (but this would require a press I don't have, so will have to find an indy?)
