I like that method to offset the uppers by using the far bolt hole so it sits outboard.
Then, you don't have to disconnect the brake lines. If the brake lines are off, then pulling off the spindle is easier for clearance, pull the axle, and bolts back into the ball joints if you are going to roll it around.
But, if you are rolling it around, make sure you put a bubbah bolt in the duplex front bearing to capture it or a dismantled spindle or the front bearing will be toast.
