Yes, I forgot to install that before I put the engine in.
Fortunately, the tube has a little bit of flexibility - at least during summer months.
To install it, I held the threaded brass fitting in its hole in the transmission, pushed downwards a bit so the thread would bite when I got the tube straightened enough. Once I felt it bite and was sure that it wasn't cross-threaded (that would make for a *very* bad day) I did my best to keep it straight as I turned it.
The other option that I thought of is to pull the brass fitting out of the tube (having a spare transmission handy is helpful for that). Then, the fitting can be threaded in and tightened (I use Permatex #2 on the threads), then shove the tube back onto the brass fitting. Some sealer there might help keep the car continent :-)
