Long time ago I was removing the engine from my 900, at night, in the mostly-dark. Forgot to disconnect the fuel line and it tore where it passes through the firewall. Ended up going to a junk yard and getting some fuel line out of another Saab. I don't know if junk yard still have Saabs. I think I used a about five hose clamps to splice that in plus some brass barb fittings from Home Depot, not an ideal fix... Also a few months ago I replaced a broken check valve on my 9000's fuel pump and I used a tool that I bought online for pushing the fuel line onto the barbs. Much better. Otherwise its virtually impossible to get the new hose onto the barbs. The tool I used was the "Dorman 800-301". It was a pricey tool but unfortunately it was my only choice. The plastic fuel fittings on the 9000 at the tank are fragile so I may need the tool again in the future. I had a broken return check valve about 10 years ago and managed to JB weld it, that did work, I believe because it is low pressure. I don't know if that would work on the high side. Good luck.
