Hello to all. I have been reading these Saabnet boards for years and even posted a few times back in '04 when doing a single weekend engine swap on my eBay find 99GL. Back then, DougM quickly responded and got me on track when I couldn't figure out how to free a tapered pin.

Like many, I assume, we come here first when a problem arises and through searching past posts we get back on the road pretty quickly... at least that has been my experience and I am very grateful to Scott for making this site and maintaining it year after year // and to all the members who have been taking the time to post great advice, also for years and years.

This past week I decided to go all-back-in and picked up a 1982 900S (I'll be the 2nd Owner) off the Saabnet classifieds. I've been without a Saab for the past two years. I also decided its time to join as a member as well. I am fairly sure this 900 will be around for a while and I was concerned I would be taking more than I was giving.

The current state of the vehicle is that like a Humpty Dumpty, I need to put it back together again. At least in the fuel system department. Its been sitting for between 5 and 18 years. Random fuel parts are all around inside the car. Last work done was probably 5 years ago-ish. Right now, other than inviting anyone/everyone to follow this Saabs story and check out my album as it grows, is to ask for opinions on my first question to the C900 group.

Here it is: the original owner says the shop was going to replace the fuel distributor because everything was messed up from bad ancient fuel. He bought a replacement distributor (source, age, condition unknown to me) years ago but it never got installed. Both he and the shop thought it had been lost in the shuffle. However, when cleaning out the car this morning I located a fuel distributor under the divers seat on the floor. Its clean and wrapped in plastic. I am going to assume that this is the missing replacement from 5 years ago.
So, should I drop it in as is during the fuel system fix project I am doing, or should I right out of the gate replace the o-rings before installing it. I am leaning towards the o-rings now plan // but do any of you have thoughts regarding this or really any comments on what my work flow should be as I go through this cars fuel.

Again, thanks to all over the years for the help/ and thanks in advance for this one.
