I recently had a problem with a 16 valve non turbo which stopped running then would start / run for a few minutes, cut out if I tried to drive eventually wouldn't start at all checked all the obvious. replacement of the Crank sensor cured it! N.B there was both spark and pulse to the injectors but still it wouldn't start.
