Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! Here’s what I learned so far:
Early on I thought it was fuel as well and I had drained all the fuel and put new fuel in along with the new fuel filter. No help
I just tried another ignition coil and still had misfiring when it warmed up
Checked the AMM as suggested in the Bentley manual - saw the wire glow after turning off the engine, so it seems ok.
I also just disconnected the AMM to see the results - it didn’t want to start at that point.
Tried a spare ignition amplifier module, no change.
My next steps are to check out the temp sensor on the intake manifold and the O2 sensor as Matt suggests.
Regarding the injector acting up, when it is misfiring, I am smelling fuel from the exhaust which leads me to believe the misfiring is due to random loss of spark rather than a faulty injector. Can I assume that?
Also SimonS you mention ‘a failing transistor ignition’, I’m not sure what that is?
Thanks again everyone
Tim
