I just fixed the torn cv boot, as well as replaced the Zimm c-d rotors with Brembo flat-faced ones, and we're having some horrible weather in CT that doesn't allow me to use the car since the front tires are slicks. I'm not joking: you can't even see where the tread used to be--completely smooth! I have Continental ExtremeContacts (225/50-16's) waiting in my garage to be put onto the car, but I can't drive it in this weather without seriously risking sliding/hydro-planing.
Once everything is done, I will report back on the boost issue. But, I did notice that the boost reaches 16psi and stays there when I drove the car around the block--I just couldn't seriously test it until I'm on the open road. This is after I put back in my old O2 sensor.
I also will have to take it easy for 500 miles until the new front pads and rotors break in.
