The Imperial gal sure boosts things though! I've owned a 99, 900t, and three 9000s, and gotten 30-32mpg hwy on all of them. Having a manual tranny helps. A light foot on accel and brake also help, but I move when I'm out on the hwy. 80mph seems to take a couple mpg off the average compared to 75mpg, but 30+mpg at 75 ain't bad.
Cold weather kills the city driving down to as low as 20 on the Aero. Lower when my wife is impatient....
Just wanted to throw out another happy Saab story experience. Next I'll be telling you about the 45mpg I got in the Rockies. Honest! 750mi and there was still plenty of gas in the tank. Still trying to believe it myself.
