With a real voltmeter (the EDU is not always accurate, but does provide some indication of relative reality), the "at rest" voltage on a battery should be about 12.X Volts; while the engine is running and charging the battery, it should be about 13.7 V, depending on temperature and other factors. If this is not the case, you may have a battery charging problem.

First, see if the terminals and thick wires that go to the battery are in good shape. When you changed the battery, hopefully you saw what kind of shape the terminals are in and possibly cleaned the inside surface as well as the new battery's terminals. With your new meter, put it in resistance measurement mode and measure from the negative (minus sign or black wire) pole on the battery to any exposed bare metal surface on the engine; this measurement should be very close to zero ohms (no resistance), almost as low as touching the two leads to each other. I would tell you to do a similar measurement on the positive side, but you have to be extremely careful not to short the positive circuit to any grounded metal - so wait on this for now.

Next, does the "Battery" light on the instrument panel illuminate before starting the car? This is very important as this circuit energizes the alternator to produce output to recharge the battery. If it does not, look at the thin yellow, green or striped wire (not the red one) that comes out of the back of the alternator; these sometimes corrode and will stop the process. Repair is by replacement of the rotted section.

Before going further, let us know what you find.
