after driving the 9-5 wagon for 2 days, i realize that i am hopelessly addicted to my 9000 aero and dont think any car on the face of the earth will give me the same pleasure. i'm going to take all the good feedback here and check out the HG and heater core jobs. the rust is just bubbles at this point, hasn't really "officially" come through, but hey i live in vermont, it's just a matter of one more winter (i think). (the no-pass inspection was a bogus reason - whoever heard of failing inspection for leaking rear shocks???)
as for the 9-5, well, i like it, it's very snazzy and hip looking, and drives okay, and the interior space is nice, as are the driver and passenger climate controls and the heated rear seat, but... it's not my 9000. the turbo doesn't have the same kick (and it's only got 139k on it as opposed to 214). the back-up parking assist is a pain in the arse, i'm definitely going to disengage that if i keep it.
i just don't think i can make the switch - love my 9000!!!
