Among our stable of Saabs, we have a 2005 9-5 Aero wagon, auto which we've had for about one year. And I have a 97 9000 Aero 5 speed. I like both of the cars - but they are very different cars. The 9-5 is more refined and less sporty than the 9000. The seats on the 9000 are more comfortable for me, although the 9-5 seats are nice too, but narrower across the back. And I prefer the stick over the auto but the Sport mode in the auto adds some excitment. They both have good cargo space with the seats down, but the 9000 appears more cavernous.
If I could only have one, and all other things equal, I would probably pick the 9000. But the reality is that the newest 9000 you can have is 12 years old and age takes it toll on older cars.
