Hi Stephie, thanks for replying & I hope you are well !!
It is also funny how seeing your reply here relates in a sort of sideways manner to the locksmith I wish I could easily get to for making me some keys - he is right in your area, whereas I am hours away from there these days.
Headlight switch helping the central locking...wow.
Talk about (seemingly...) unrelated things, Aye ??
As it happens, with mine, it is just sometimey & seems mostly to orient with the driver's door when the key is used.
(I don't leave my headlights on all the time, so that is unlikely to factor in with this car right now.)
Also, the lock button in the console doesn't seem to work at all, but I'll have to try that one a bunch more times to be sure of it.
Thus far the situation has gone like so:
I stopped at the store, got out, went to lock the car at the driver's door and...nuttin doing - only that lock moved with the key action - tried it several times - still nuttin, so I just manually pushed the lock buttons & went upon my way.
Later on it was working normally again...go figure.
Most likely unrelated to this is that the little normally blinky alarm LED stays lighted solidly 24/7.
I haven't been under the dashtop yet to see if its been monkeyed, but the alarm system doesn't seem to work either.
All the same, this car is a real pleasure for me !!
