Wow. that is one nice-looking 99. The price is still too high, but it is very nice looking in the ad. The only thing I see "wrong" is the seat color. It should be basically the same color as the carpets, thought the seats are in very good condition for the car's age.
But with the (extremely) low miles, wheels, apparent condition, lack of AC, etc. there's a whole lot of work that I wouldn't have to do to the car.
But I'm not sure a non-turbo 99 is worth $9,000 just yet. The dealer may have just tossed a number out there to see if someone bites. But there is a limited market for these cars. I would talk to the dealer, and make them an offer in the $4,000 range. They may think it's a real lowball, but then again, you never know. I'd let them know I am serious about the car, but it's not a $9,000 car (I'm not sure it was a $9k car when new!) in 2009 at 31 years and climbing. One thing is for sure, If the dealer bought the car at a price that means they have to sell if for $9k, they screwed up big time!
99s are a blast to drive. The non-turbo 4 speed is a real hoot around town, and in the twisties.
