Ok then, funny I told the dealer I have been backed up by my set of North American Experts on SAABNET. Fantastic! Checked out the car today- guy was great. He let me take the car out for as long as I wanted I checked to cooling fan - idled the car for a long time fan kicked on/off. heated it up- shut it off. It started fine after half hour. The body really is remarkable. I cannot remember the last 900 that looked as good as this 99. The Blue wires are actually lead to an ignition button under the dash. I do not know why the button is there because the original ignition works perfectly. The wheels as you can see are Ronals- they in fact are too big for the car. He showed me the perfect set of original thin ones with the stainless caps. I would like to put these on. The exhaust needs to be replaced from the mid section of the car to the tail. Needs two rear discs and one left ball joint- a little play there. Oil Leaks standard fare. Other than that a couple of bulbs and new wiper blades. I left the car with the gent and gave him the list of repairs to negotiate. One main complaint the master Saab techs had at my independant had to say was they could not stand the water pumps. Do we have access to this part or is it impossible to find? just wondering Thank you all for helping me out big time on examining this set of wheels. I will let you know what happens next.
