Thank you Gary - someone at work explained that one method to me as I am not too knowledgeable on wiring ; except for fuse box cleaning and wire/end replacing - I can tell you that we did it your way at work today and it works!! I simply hold the button in for a few seconds with my left hand ( thanks Jimmy:) and crank with the right / starts a bit rough but is fine after 6 seconds - which I timed repeatedly - went out every 30min. to test and started like never before .
no more embarrassing cranking ( until the next issue LOL ) cost me $12 for the switch - pretty good considering I have pretty much replaced the entire FI system / cannot thank you all enough / so nice that these under-appreciated classics have a core of people who selflessly share their passion - Cheers!!
