Hi Bruce - if it's the injector that you disconnected, then the culprits will likely either be the thermo-time switch (mounted in the cylder head), the vacuum diaphragm switch (mounted next to the ignition coil), or the throttle body switch (engine side of the throttle body - a little lever switch with two wires going to it - activated by a lobe on the throttle).
First thing I'd check is the throttle switch - cause if there's continuity through there, the 5th injector will be on all the time.
I *think* that if there's continuity through the thermo-time switch, then at idle the injector will be on also - this is supposed to only be a momentary thing, just to get the engine started, and then the injector is supposed to shut off unless you're at wide open throttle.
