I put in a new main jet (a 155) and turned the idle mixture screw in a couple of turns until the idle just became rough, then backed it out a tiny bit. 15 and 25 mph CO went from 7.5 to 2, HC went from 360 to 250, and NO went from 570 to 1700, all well within local limits. The car runs great, no apparent high end sacrifice, if anything slightly smoother coming off idle. Too early to tell effect on mpg. Still starts fine when cold, although the choke seems a little more mandatory. I live at 5000 ft (Salt Lake City) and normally drive between 4200 and 8200 ft. Engine is stock except for 34ICH, fresh rebuild. Doug at Pierce Manifold was very helpful. Thanks, kansas.
