My 2000 9-3 has adj belt height, i think now i am 2nd guessing myself. I understand your feelings you would think that on a $30,000+ car you would have power seats but nope. Yeah the keyless entry really sucks usually only works when you are standing right next to the car. But a Saab, to me, is a lot like the saying Jeep enthusiasts have for ther precious Wrangler, "It's a Jeep thing, You wouldn't understand." Saab is just intrinsic and that is what makes it such an awesome car. It does seem as though you got stuck with a lemon, was it a Dealer Demo? Hope your feelings change.
