...that when you buy a $40k convertible, you're really buying a $30k coupe without a top. You can't really compare its quality to a $40k sedan. No one buys convertibles based on logic - they are purely emotional, often impulse, purchases and the car makers know that. A better comparison for your Jag is the 9-5, which is also several classes above the 9-3. But even the 9-5 is $10k cheaper than the Jag (actually $20k cheaper than yours). Would you expect a $10-$20k car to be as nicely finished and as well built as a 9-3?
