I'm not sure that I understand this thing about the armrest. I personally drive too fast to use the armrest, and I always try to have two hands on the wheel. An armrest for me would be useless, except when there is so much traffic that the cars are basically stopped. Even then, I'm shifting so much that an armrest gets in the way.

I cannot vouch for Saab's quality, as I've only driven my car about 200 miles. I can say that I've had no problems so far.

Finally, if there's an organization that I cannot stand, it's Consumer Reports. They come up with lame techniques for rating cars (or whatever), and then people treat them as if they are gospel. For instance, they rated Bosch dishwashers the "worst" in cleaning, yet I've owned a Bosch dishwasher and my friend owns one, and they are outstanding in cleaning compared to other dishwashers (Maytag, etc.). Their techniques for rating goods are no better than any other technique, and they tend to be biased.
