I have always wondered how a salesperson would have handled something like this. Clearly they must have been embarrased. Saab makes an excellant product and stories like these seldomly happen. I imagine that I would be alittle skeptic of buying a car from a manufacture after something like this happened on a test drive. What you really need to do is to remember why you really wanted a Saab in the first place. I have a NG900 and a 9-3 and I have had no major problems with either of these cars. I also would recommend these cars to others solely based on the cars overall performance. I also would consider this your first and last "Saab experiance" and would try another test drive.
I'm also curious to find out what the dealer might do to try to restore your confidence in their Saab product. Mybe your bad experiance may have a postive outcome.
