I have been reading the comments and have a few answers. First I agree cars are cars and they are made by people, remember no one person is perfect. I have had my car for 3 yrs 99 9-3 has been relatively easy going. I am outside of my warranty and Saab picked up $2k in repairs... I don't think its Saab as a whole were the problem is I think its the customer service ie: your experience with the salesperson and others getting killed with the High charges from the dealer.
Expample I have to replace my rear brake pads and rotors. The Dealer wants $600.00, two local shops want $400.00. I am getting the rotors from a supplier that I know for 1/2 the cost of the service shop and the pads for about 10% less. If I have the outside shop do the work it will be 140.00 in labor. The total cost is still 1/2 of the dealer and $100.00 less than the outside shop.
It really shouldn't be this hard to get thing done right and at a decent price that would be a win / win for both sides.....
Moral of my point is no one truly cares about "Customer Service"
