i had inquired about this some time in the last few years and was told the input shaft is different from 2.34 to 2.0 so i assume you're also going to have to swap the gearbox along with the motor.
from a performance point of view, my '97 900SE T 5 speed vert has a 2nd gear that will go up to almost 50 MPH and pulls like a train. My '00 Viggen has no such performance. and since you're building up a Vert (maybe a lighter total car weight?) then it should perform pretty well. I just hope it has less cowl shake than my '97!
i also agree with raiding a good 9-5 for a 2.3L engine at the very least to avoid all the T5-T7 conversion work.
