Been in Shenzhen (Near Hong Kong) which is far from where you will go.
Since you travelled plenty before, you should be ok. Extremely crowded though. Plenty of weird smells walking down the street :)
Accept busines cards with both hands and don't write on it. Make sure to look at it some before putting it away. That's what I was told. I think also give and receive credit cards with both hands.
Down in Shenzhen, it's quite western. Cell phones everywhere. But few speak english. We had company people with us almost all the time.
Make sure to get some foot massages. Cheap.
Kingway beer is good, but not sure they have it up there. Tsing Tao will do.
Can't think of anything else right now.
Now is a better time than when I went. March in Guangdong was scary (SARS).
