phonetic translation, it is two Chinese words that translate back roughtly to Gentleman's Treasure, or if someone prefers a non-male chauvinist translation "Upper (or Exclusive) Class Treasure".
Chinese like to translate foreign product names into something lucky or of value. So you see similar type of translation in other makes as well, e.g. BMW (Valuable/Treasure Horse), Volvo (Wealthy Person).
Many Japanese cars however use their Chinese character equivalent, with a few exceptions, such as Subaru, Mazda where they tailor to individual markets.
