all plastics are polymers, but not all polymers are plastics.
Someone at BMW screwed that up royally...and I'm a little insulted, to be honest. Here I am, working with this stuff every day, trying to predict when it will fail based on the amount of damage incurred during fatigue so that designers can more accurately predict fracture, and then some knob in marketing decides to screw up the term.
