The Euro manufacturers offer all kinds of engine/tranny combinations we don't get over here, probably because of the cost of federalizing.
Fr'instance, I saw an A6 in Paris that was badged 1.6. 0-to-60 measured with calendar! Smaller engines and diesels because of much higher fuel costs, and taxes based on displacement and/or C02 exhaust.
