Oral hygine. Is it the constant smoking, or do they not have toothpaste here? I thought brits were known for being snaggletoothed, but it's nuts here. Add to that some heinous halitosis and you've got a nasty mix.
I would never rent a car here. The roads are chaotic. Bikes, carts, rickshaw looking contraptions, construction vehicles, no paying attendtion to lanes, people coming at you head on... It makes your head spin!
The people are very nice. So far it seems like there are 5 people working where 1 would do the same job in the US. Constant cleaners in office buildings, way too many waitresses at breakfast and lunch. I can't wait to see how they build cars here. Tomorrow I go to 2 plants and watch their production lines... How many hand tools vs. the slick nut-runners and torque guns used in north america?
I got my itinerary. Few days in Shenyang, then Beijing at Tier 1 supplier, then Changsha at another car plant, then Shanghai for R&R, then Shenyang for wrap-up. This will be a fun expense report!
Oh yeah, no SAABs so far in Shenyang.
