Think we're Seinfeld fans??

Cats are easy if well taken care of and can be extraordinarily affectionate. Give them something to scratch, decent food and a warm place for their 22.5 hours/day of naps and they'll be happy as can be. And yes, 2 are easier to own than 1.

Get all the recommended shots and a checkup once/year. Also, give soft food and some sort of "Dental Diet" hard food that will help keep its teeth clean. Clip claws every few weeks, and don't spend a ton of money on toys, etc. It will like the box and bag the toys came in better than the toy itself. Get it a little stuffed animal it can hunt and carry with it...our cat Pud has a little stuffed mouse that he plays fetch with!

Our cat Newman will sit and tap your leg/arm/shoulder until you remember to pet her, and Kramer insists on laying on my wife or myself while we watch TV. She also stayed in my baby's room when he was born and slept on the futon in there constantly- she wouldn't let our kid out of her sight!

Cats are great...as someone else here said, if you don't like cats, you just don't get them.
