If you don't want to go too far from Midtown, you might consider some of the Korean restaurants around 6th ave between 32nd and 38th streets. Korean BBQ is quite delicious.
After your meal, you and your buddy can rock out like Korean businessmen and visit a "room salon" (essentially a hostess bar) somewhere in Koreatown. When I went to Seoul, Korea for a few business trips in the past, the room salon was the after-dinner entertainment.
Guys go to a room where they are accompanied by hostesses who sing and drink with them all night.
When you've gotten all worked up by the ladies in the room salon, go down to Chelsea for your happy ending if you're into dudes. :)
