They don't stain easily and are generally durable, but if they get gouged, like when you have to move the fridge, stove, dishwasher, etc., there is nothing you can do about the gouges. They are a laminate and if something pointed and heavy falls on them they can chio or crack and it's nor repairable. If it's the floating type, and your subfloor is not perfect, they tend to move around more than some people like.
They look fine, but know that they are not perfect. We looked at them for our kitchen, but went with well-urethaned solid oak. Cost, with installation and 2 coats of urethane was about the same as Pergo-type floors. In our case wood is also warmer in winter with the kitchen being over the garage.
