I had this happen with my telephone company once. Ever since I switched over to their service, I was having problems with my line. They came out once and looked at it for free. They came out and looked at it again for free. The third time, they came out and looked at it, but charged me $90 for a service fee. I was not a happy camper and I let them know it. This was their problem that they never fixed in the first place and there wasn't a single soul that ever told me I would incur this fee.
Mind you, I wouldn't mind paying the fee had I been informed before-hand. I told them this and I proceeded to refuse payment. They reluctantly waived the fee and all is well. The same goes for anything else I ever purchase. If I'm ever going to pay more in the end for a product or service than is advertised, I want that to be the advertised price...save me the hassle and headache of coming up with more dough when I didn't think I would need it.
I make my life pretty simple. If someone tells me how much something is going to cost and that is exactly how much I end up spending (regardless of the amount or how much more expensive it may be than a competitor), I will return for future business. If someone tells me how much something is going to cost and it ends up to be way different in the end, they just lost a customer. I am a consumer and supporter. If someone is going to rely upon me to consume their product/service and support them, they should treat me accordingly. Maybe that's just me. Drive safely, and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
