Your efforts are amazing compared to my contribution! An annual reduction of 30k mi?!? By comparison, if I drive every day, I'll almost reach what you've cut back to! Finding alternate methods of commuting can make a huge difference.
I agree, if we each did a little, it would make a much bigger impact than if a few folks do a lot. I choose to drive 21 mi to a nice, safe parking spot that also puts me in a good starting location for biking. But someone who lives 10 or 12 mi from work might start by driving 1/2 or 2/3 of the way & biking the rest. Then, as they get more comfortable with it, start decreasing the drive & lengthening the bike portion.
