Logic would tell me that using as light pressure on the throttle would do it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Since the car gets the worst milage when it is acclerating save sitting still, the user would want to get out of the acclerating stage and into the crusing stage as soon as possible. But if you over do the acclerating, the saved time in the accleration stage does not overcome the extra gas used. The driver needs to find the compromise between the two - spending the least amount of time in accleration stage but not using too much gas. My question is, how much throttle pressure and what kind of RPMs should I accelerate at to accelerate the most efficiently?
