on the interstate sometimes i let it run even though it's not the best for the environment but i make it quick so i hope it's no worse than stopping it and restarting it. i'd rather not shut it down after hauling ass for the past hour.
second, my boss used to smoke at the pumps while taking readings. remember mechanical pumps? no big deal really, but i don't exactly advise it, and certainly not while filling up.
