As was said by Gorper, no problem tying one on in SLC, just takes some getting used to the rules and regs. Snowbird is unreal - Huge, steep, intense, killer terrain; the place to go on the days you want to have stories for the grandkids. Brighton is smaller, more laid back and has a kickass terrain park (skis and boards alike) - the place you go when you tell yourself wour going to recuperate after the epic day at snowbird (except you end ripping the mountain apart there, too...) Midweek, you see some local kids doing stuff at Brighton that you dont see anywhere outside of the X-Games, seriously.
