WE HAVE OWNED SIX SAABS AND HAVE JUST ENCOUNTERED OUR FIRST PROBLEM.
WITHOUT ANY ADVANCE WARNING, THE PULLEY HOLDING THE SERPENTINE BELT BROKE RESULTING IN AN IMMEDIATE BREAK-DOWN OF THE CAR.
THIS WAS A 2000 SAAB 9-5 STATION WAGON, BUT I THINK THAT THE MODEL IS NOT A MATERIAL PART OF THE PROBLEM.
AS A RESULT, WE HAD TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE AT A SAAB AUTHORIZED REPAIR SHOP IN ROANOKE, VA AND RENT A CAR TO DRIVE BACK TO NEW YORK.
TWO QUESTIONS:
ONE - HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM WITH THEIR SAAB?
TWO - HAS ANYONE EVER BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN HAVING SAAB TRANSPORT THEIR CAR AT SAAB'S EXPENSE?
I WOULD APPRECIATE A REPLY - THANK YOU
RON
