to Oregon and Washington. I guess the real estate prices in Arizona are going up there like they are here. There like here you have bidding wars over houses and they sell in a week!
We just sold our rental townhouse that we use to live in for $236k. We paid $200k for it brand new in '98 and it was overpriced when we bought it.
Much harder to sell a townhouse than a family home.
My friend bought a crappy house in a bad neighborhood in North Portland, OR about 7 years ago for $100k and now is hoping to sell it for $180k.
This is w/o hardly any inprovements and I would be shocked if he gets that much but he might.
Last year I think the medium house value in Portland went up 15% and I think that is also the national average.
Hopefully, Oregon won't become like California in 20 years. Maybe the rain will keep them away but the rain hasn't helped Seattle keep its population down.
If there was enough desire to stop the illegal immigration that would help the quality or like a lot. Illegals get: healthcare, education and even driver licences in some places.
I guess that tells people that it is OK to break the law. What a scarey future we are having when the government doesn't care about the future of our country and most of the idiot Americans keep voting Republican and Democrat and are putting use deeper into the coffin of history. I guess all great countries kill themselves sooner or later. Vote for 3rd parties. Hopfully Libertarians!
