Look into Peak Hour Billing... We do this at our house not because of AC (I only have AC in one room which has three computers that run 24/7 and even then it's just to keep the temp around 80 degrees max. Anyway, peak hours here in SF Bay CA are 7am - 7pm. Our billing is such that when I send power back to the grid during peak hours (with AC off, I use 800 watts during the day and last month averaged sending 1200 watts to the grid) we get a 4X bonus for power sent back. Then, we draw against our accumulated bonus at night when we draw back. Now, that still doesn't help you because you don't send any power to the grid. However, there is another billing type for low peak power consumers (people who aren't at home during the day) such that during peak hours, they are charged a somewhat higher rate than normal, but off-peak hours a much lower rate than normal. It's similar to the bonus scheme in that it rewards less usage during the peak hours. You'd have to actually do the math to see if your usage is low enough during the day to, dollar-wise, give you an edge to draw from at night. It might not but you won't know until you crunch the numbers.
Anyway, hope that's something additional to consider.
