I had a Celica that had front end damage that wasn't totaled. The original estimate was a little over 5K in damage, but then the supplemental came in at about 6.5K, total in repairs was around 12K in the end. The car was probably worth that much or maybe $500 more at the time. It may have helped that the accident was deemed 100 percent someone else's fault, but I was sure the car would be totaled. Traded it 4 years later with a clean title and 75K miles for 5500!
