gutters are at 2nd floor level. and you got it with the peak above the room. The crawlspace is outside the room. Picture a tunnel, on the left side is the exterior roof, on the right side is insulation and then the knee wall.
My basement walls are above ground on 3 sides. The house it built into the hill, so only one wall really is totally below grade.
After some investigation, the crawlspace is not connected to the upper attic ventilation (the peak area, above the room ceiling). So yes, I am going to install a vent of some sort. Probably a roof turbine just for simplicity's sake. My freakin roof pitch is like 6/12 at least, so it's not easy to stand on.
I gotta check the framing job for that between floor area, it may or may not have air gaps. Some expandable foam will probably come into play there.
Thanks for all the help, many minds are better than one on this stuff!

Yep, I think the vapor barrier is backwards. I am either going to make slits in it, or take it off and reverse it the proper way, then add the foamular board on the outside (facing the roof, kind of like the bread in an isulation sandwich). I think this will be the best method. I will have to check to see if the foamular board is porous, that's why I was considering a Tyvek type of board. But if I flip the insulation the right way, then it's moot.
