Should I buy a Saab?

I would greatly appreciate any advice with respect to my unrealized decision to purchase a Saab. I currently drive a 1994 850 Volvo, prior to which I drove a 740 and a 240 Volvo. I love my Volvo's safety and reliability, but I am near 200k miles and want to preempt any emergency car purchase. I have decided not to stick with Volvos because they just aren't the same as they once were and I'm obviously in a rut. I want something fun but with that same safety and reliability (I grew up with a 900 and a 9000). Right now I am averaging about 2500 miles/month. I travel with my job throughout the state of Tennessee, often where cell phone service is uncommon and I do not want to be caught broke down. I just bought a house and am trying to work on my savings and student loans, so I am going to go the used route. I seem to be drawn (asthetically anyway) to the 9-3. I'm not so sure about the convertible, yet the 4 door seems a little large.... what happened to the 3 door hatchback? I like the looks of it.
So that's the deal. What do you all think? I really appreciate any address of these concerns. Thank you!!
