I went the Epson way too with an Espon Stylus CX3810 color printer/scanner at work and an RX600 color printer/scanner at home. We have a dorky Lexmark Z13 color dot/matrix hooked up to the WinXP system at home too which is rarely used.

The Espon Stylus series has served us very well.
