...I would go for no points.

1) Look into a traffic court attorney.
2) Use the process of discovery. Ask for the officer's log, his radar gun log, his car log, and his gun shooting accuracy(if he can't aim a gun he can't aim radar or ladar).
3) Were there any other cars on the road who could have bounced their radar to you.
4) You need to search on the Internet about how to fight a traffic summmons. There are plenty of free websites with AWESOME information!

If you do your homework you can come out ahead.

I fought a parking summons in NYC were an officer did not use his true signiture. I won, BUT my case may not be typical or my judge may have been easier going. You need to research the laws in YOUR area.

You said he did not write a complete street name as far as intersection. Are there other street names in your town with the same first name but different last names? That would creatre doubt as to where the summons was written and add to your argument.

If an officer is too lazy to completely fill out street names and his own name, you may be able to politely argue that he is taking shortcuts, meaning his summons may be in doubt, his radar tuning fork use may be in doubt, and his over-all carefullness may be in doubt. After-all, he should fill things out completely. Tread carefully. Judges and cops are close. Insulting one will piss off the other.

You could always walk in with 10 pages of questions and inform the judge that you are prepared to ask all of them, but would like to spare the court some time. If the court would just allow you a fine with no points you would be glad to pay and dispense with the questions, otherwise you might take up to 1 hour. They have busy schedules and HATE delays.
